Fair Grove Lady Eagles defeat Dixon at 2023 Osage Varsity Girls Tournament
It was ten players vs five players during Monday’s basketball game versus Dixon at the 2023 Osage Varsity Girls Basketball Tournament. Showing up with only a couple freshman and some sophomores, Dixon had no chance against Fair Grove’s roster of ten highly talented athletes. To give you an idea of what the game was like, the first quarter ended with a score of 32-3. Fair Grove backed off their press and gave Dixon plenty of leeway as the rest of the game seemed more like a practice session of running plays and passing drills for Fair Grove. Perhaps if Dixon would have played a couple of their 16 cheerleaders they brought to the game it would have made it more entertaining to watch. Final score was 84-18 for a Fair Grove WIN. Scorers for the Eagles (all 10 players) included: Ashton Bell with 22 points, Brooke Daniels with 14, Kameron Green with 12 , Taylor Green & Shea Skouby with eight points each, Hannah Maxwell with seven, Allison Findley and Abby Green with four, Emma Padgett with three and Cam Hart with two points. The Fair Grove Lady Eagles move on in the tournament to play again on Thursday night at 7:00 PM at Osage High School.
